We Wonder

Whenever we do something good,
Whenever we visit some place new,
Whenever we experience life,
We wonder what you would have said.

In life's ups and downs,
You stood tall for us,
You protected and guided us,
With stern, but loving care.

Every time I write a note,
Every time I make a speech,
Decisions and choices I make,
I wonder what you would have thought.

Choices you made,
Good deeds you did,
Everything you sacrificed,
Made us, your children, strong.

Two years have gone by,
We questioned then and wonder now,
If God could ever give us a better Dadda,
Because you were the Best.

We wish you were here,
But know you are in heaven,
Looking fondly at Mamma and,
The fourteen of us.
